Washington D.C. will ask the Supreme Court on September 5th of this year, to uphold its' three decade ban on handguns. Interesting in that the District of Columbia has the highest crime rate in the Nation, and the 2nd Amendment gives the people to right to "keep and bear arms". But wait...wasn't it the Supreme Court who ruled in the Kelo decision that government could seize your private property and hand it over to those would could provide a higher tax base? It will be interesting to see in September if the Court still reads and understands the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
