Be careful what you wish for........

Town officials in New Hampshire are permitted to levy additional taxes, on properties with scenic views. Locals know it as the "view tax". Brad Wilder, who owns a house in Plainfield, N.H., pays an extra $4,700 for his view of Mount Ascutney and the Connecticut River Valley.

Kind of makes you think TWICE about cutting down that tree for a better view of the lake, huh?
