On CBS News today:

"A student pilot and his instructor were released without charges
late Wednesday after causing thousands of people to be evacuated from
the White House and the Capitol building in a terrorism scare earlier
in the day. The two men's small Cessna strayed into restricted
airspace over Washington during the lunch hour, coming within five
kilometres of the seat of the U.S. government."

On the one hand, I suppose it's actually nice that American politicians
now soil themselves every time someone breaks wind within 50 miles of
DC. On the other hand, we probably should start docking their pay for
the time wasted on the theatrics they put over, as if they were in
anything close to as much danger as the average infantryman in
Baghdad faces on a daily basis. (Words of another, but I agree 100%).
